01 — Memos

Record a thought. Keep the useful Chinese.

Speak a sentence, paste a phrase, or save something you heard. NeoLinguo turns it into draft words and sentences with pinyin, meaning, and audio. You decide what enters your library.

02 — Words & Sentences

Your saved Chinese stays connected.

Words are not stored as isolated flashcards. Each one keeps its pronunciation, meaning, source sentence, and related examples, so review always has context.

03 — Flashcards

Review the same word from different angles.

Practice meaning, hanzi, pinyin, and audio. The app brings words back when they need attention, especially the ones you keep meeting in memos and stories.

04 — Stories

Read stories built from words you are learning.

Choose an easy or richer story. The audio stops at blanks, you pick the missing word, and any word can be hovered for a quick translation.

公园的早上

今天早上,我和妈妈去。天气很好。妈妈说:"看,!" 我说:"小狗很可爱。" 我们坐下。妈妈喝茶。我。后来,我们回家。我说:"今天很。"

Listen until the blank, then choose the word that fits.

05 — Principle

Suggestions first. You stay in control.

NeoLinguo can propose pinyin, translations, examples, audio, and stories. You approve, edit, or skip before anything becomes part of your study set.

  • Review before saving. Draft words wait for your approval.
  • Edit anything. Fix pinyin, meaning, or example sentences.
  • Keep the source. See where each word came from later.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Which language does NeoLinguo support today?

Chinese (Mandarin, simplified hanzi with pinyin). NeoLinguo is built end-to-end around Chinese: extraction, pronunciation, stories, and review all assume Chinese as the target language. Other languages aren't on the immediate roadmap — depth before breadth.

What does "review-first" actually mean?

It means suggestions do not become study material until you accept them. You can edit pinyin, meanings, and examples before saving.

Can I import words I already have?

Not in the first early access build. The first version focuses on capturing new words from memos and sentences. Importing existing decks is planned later.

What level is it for?

Beginners can use short picture-book stories. The app becomes more personal as you save more words, and richer stories work best once you know a few hundred common words.
